A Block Dinner

Thursday, March 27, 2008

Fact: Back in the 70's, a school's formality was based on the food served on the cafeteria.

Good food = good education. Surprising fact.

Anyway, classes just ended! Well, at least for me, others still have to take their finals exam, but still- CLASSES ARE NOW OFFICIALLY OVER! After a frantic day of exams, projects and hunting down missing teachers, the dreaded Hell Day is finally over the rainbow. The adventure is still not over though- I still have to collect all my class cards so I could transfer to Diliman. Great. I have to clean my rifles, these teachers could be so nasty sometimes.

Second thought, everyone. Block dinners. Perfectly fabulous. All that food, all that talking (especially the gossips, haha), it's definitely worth the time. It's great to talk with blockmates that I have lost connection since the end of the first semester. Fun. We talked until midnight, which is of course, bad for my dormitory record. When I got home that night, the night guard and I have a lovely discussion:

Night Guard watching TV. I walked casually toward the hallway.
Night Guard: Psssssssst.
I looked around, my eyebrows raised.
Night Guard: May late permit ka?
Scans brain for possible excuses. Found one.
Me: Late permit? Ano ho yun?
Night Guard: Di mo yun alam?
Me: Di po. May curfew po pala ang dorm?
Terrific lie. Watches Night Guard battling with his own conscience.
Night Guard: Oo, 10 pm.
Me: Di po ba pwede na warning muna for now..?
Night Guard: Sige, sige. OK ka naman yata eh.
Disturbed by that comment, but forces a laugh. Thanks Night Guard and resumes walking.

And there you have it. Haha. Thanks for reading, and good day ahead. ^_^
